First Floor: Sitting Room

The sitting room, located at the back of the house, has its own entrance from the outside, perhaps used at one time by Harlow’s clients.  The room once again features original hand-carved woodwork and stained glass, as well as a single pocket door on the entrance to the front hallway.  Be sure to take note of the room’s highlights–a cherry fireplace mantel carved in a scallop-shell motif, and the lovely asymetrical gingerbread fretwork over the doorway to the back hall.
