About the Artist

AmArA is thrilled to be premiering another collection at the Bundy Museum , her favorite Twilight Zone locale.

Inspiration/Music Update: In March, AmArA premiered Inspiration/Music in the Little Room Gallery. Pieces from that collection were honored showing in the Broome County Arts Council “Accompaniment” exhibit in April. Other pieces from the collection have gone to private collections.

Extra Artist on the Set of Fat Kid Rules the World Update: In summer of 2011, AmArA performed as a featured extra in the independent film Fat Kid Rules the World, based on the book by K.L. Going and directed by Matthew Lillard. Inspired by the experience, she sketched and painted, bringing the results back to Binghamton to premiere at the Bundy Museum in November 2011. Pieces from Extra Artist on the Set of Fat Kid Rules the world has gone on to show at RiverRead Books, Ithaca Shakespeare Company Lobby Display, and privately at SxSw Festival. In March, 2012, Fat Kid Rules the World premiered and won the Audience Award at SxSw in Austin , TX . The Extra Artist, AmArA, was present and accounted for and continues to find inspiration with the Fat Kid and his friends. She has been painting the continuing series since returning from Austin .
