After graduating from Cornell University with a degree in biology, Nancy went to Laos with International Voluntary Services (IVS) as a volunteer to work with women in the villages. When Nancy returned to Ithaca in 1970, she completed a Masters in Education and became a biology teacher at Ithaca High School . In 2005, she retired and pursued a second career as a digital photographic artist.

As a photographer, Nancy ’s techniques have evolved since retiring from teaching. She enjoys trying to perfect them with flowers for montages and for natural images. Her interests have expanded to producing abstracts from sculptures and buildings from images taken at Cornell University and around the world.
