Angela Cook - Artist Statement:

As many of you know, having a pet is a truly magical experience. They bring innocence, joy, and wonder. I am dedicating this exhibit called "Serious Moonlight" to my longtime companion Lucas aka "my cow cat". He was my sidekick from 8 weeks old to 11 years old. Overlooking every art piece I made with his antics beside me, he gave me unconditional support to express freely, hurt experienced from other humans. He recently passed July 29th peacefully at home after a medical condition he battled. During 2020 he sat beside me as always creating collaboratively these paintings in this series. I utilized that time to keep focus on showing art again and not forgetting why my career began 12 years prior. Unknowing how the pandemic would effect our futures I sank into the comfort Lucas and I shared and paints and gluing was the deal outlet. Hope you enjoy these and if you look close may see pieces of fur. In your honor my sweetest Lucas.

Angela Cook - Artist Bio:

Angela Cook is a well known local artist that uses colors, textures and mixed media to express in abstract art. This is her 8th exhibit at Bundy over a span of 12 years exhibiting publicly. Her receptions are expressive of the friend base made over the years with like minded people. She also hosts a series called "The Best of This & That” held bi monthly in the The Bundy Museum's Annex Theater.

About Kellie Wright:

Kellie Wright, also known as "Party Cat", is a twenty-something indie singer/songwriter. Bred, birthed, and still eating bread here in Upstate New York, Kellie plays out with a repertoire of hits from the 60’s and 70’s. She is passionate about bringing a new life into older music, drawing inspiration from the likes of Roger Miller, Melanie Safka, The Kinks and more.

Party Cat has many originals to play out as well. One could describe her songwriting style as unique, fun and relatable. Recently, she has decided to branch out and enter a new era of more fun music.

Her 2018 debut album, We Agreed to Be Strangers, has a message that was able to reach and relate to many people. Grateful for the learning experience that came along with the more somber album, the music came from a rough time in life. It doesn’t feel quite as relatable to her anymore, and so she has decided to make and embody music with a more positive spirit.

Life can be tough, and long. So don’t take it so seriously, and listen to some silly and fun music from Party Cat!
