About the Artist:

B.J. Tuininga graduated from Keene State College in New Hampshire in 2002 with a B.A. in Graphic Design and a Minor in Fine Arts. She worked at The Bundy Museum of History and Art until disabilities from surgery made it impossible for her to work.

B.J. works with oils blended with cold wax. Her paintings are thick and textured the result of her use of a palette knife application in her work.

Her work takes a long time to dry, but she is determined to use texture in her paintings.

She loves photography and will take pictures of the world around her when the mood strikes her.

She is fascinated by the way photos emerge. They seem to have their own personalities.
